About Lifestyle Gardens
Lifestyle Gardens Nursery is a boutique retail nursery set in the small but
rapidly expanding country town of Latrobe, about ten minutes drive down the
highway from Devonport, in north-west Tasmania. This beautifully set out
little nursery is a creation from the design-board of Pat Darbyshire. He
purchased a derelict residential block opposite the Latrobe Council
Chambers at the eastern end of the town, and he and some friends
transformed it into the tranquil gardeners' paradise that you can see in
the pictures on this website.
Pat has had extensive landscape design experience, as well as time in
garden centre retail management, so he understands the requirement to keep
prices competitive and is well equipped to give customers the best possible
service when they shop at Lifestyle. He and his staff have extensive
knowledge of plants, products and services, as well as other important
matters such as soils, weeds, pests and diseases and much more, which means
they are well able to guide customers into making the right decisions when
making a purchase at Lifestyle.
The nursery offers a garden doctor diagnostic service, so if anyone has a
problem in their garden, they can be the recipients of advice based on over
half a century's combined experience as well as everything they could
possibly want to rectify the problem. Lifestyle Gardens stocks a very wide
range of plants, so customers should be able to find something to suite any
desire. If just the right plant cannot be found then and there, it can be
ordered in the shortest possible time. The nursery is also focusing on more
unusual species, so plant connoisseurs should also be able to find
something of interest.
Lifestyle also stocks all sorts of water feature, statuary, topiary, large
and small ornamental goods, glasshouses, composts and fertilisers, plant
protection materials, pots; the list goes on and on. The next time you are
near Latrobe, why not drop in and become part of the Lifestyle experience?
The friendly and qualified staff will make you feel very welcome, and will
do their best to make your visit a profitable one for your garden.
